The NASCAR Nationwide Series visited Chicagoland Speedway on Saturday afternoon, and one driver stole the show following the final caution. After starting on pole, Brian Scott led the first five laps of the race with Kyle Busch taking the lead on lap six. The first caution of the day came on lap 25, and Chase Elliott took the lead after the restart. Busch was able to take the lead back the next lap and held it until the caution that came on lap 63, when Derrick Cope hit the wall. Following the restart, Kevin Harvick took the lead but Busch again took back the lead a few laps later. The caution came again on lap 93 when Tanner Berryhill also hit the wall. On the restart, Elliott once again took the lead, but Busch stole it back the following lap.

Then, on lap 134, the caution came out when there was debris on the track after Paul Menard had tire issues, and Busch was able to keep the lead following the restart. The next caution came on lap 151 when the engine of Jeremy Clements blew. Brian Scott was able to take the lead on the restart, but eventually Harvick was eventually able to catch up and take the lead. The final caution of the day came on lap 165 when Denny Hamlin’s engine also blew. Harvick was able to keep his lead and went on to win the race.

Kyle Larson, Kyle Busch, Ryan Blaney, and Trevor Bayne rounded out the top five.
