Cons: DOES NOT TEACH. Lectures are confusing and questions are drawn out and terrible.
CHEMISTRY 201H. There is no place to submit for Herbert as the lecturer of 201H, so I'll do it here. Professor Herbert obviously loves chemistry. He's a very passionate and intelligent man. These qualities, however, do not make for a good professor. The man is a physical chemist, and I think he feels snubbed by having to teach an introductory chemistry class. His lectures are confusing, and if he doesn't deem something important, he won't cover it. Homework set problems that are written by him are long and rambling with complicated solutions, and tests are much the same. I imagine he is awesome with upper level courses, but for an undergraduate general chemistry class that is the first class many take in their first quarter of college, he does not fit the bill.
