She explains things very well. simple. I honestly have no idea why she is receiving such bad reviews. I only miss 3 points in the entire class. I would recommend her.

dull, Just reads from the book. They must have been desperate for teachers when they hired her

In one word: TERRIBLE. I have never seen a teacher talked down to her students as much as she does. She thinks she is Goddess of Writing and low-balls everyone's grades to show it. I got a 48% on my first paper, which was the 4th highest in the class! Who let this PhD student teach?

disliked this class, I would not recommend her. The grades on papers were very low with the first couples' average being under 50%. She seems like a friendly person, but came off as condescending in class as a teacher. Needed the textbook to reference for papers

I don't know why she received any bad comments...I always found her class and examples fascinating. She explained things very well and had a true interest in the overall success of the class. Also, I needed help with papers, and she was very accommodating to me. I would definitely recommend her.

Should not be teaching

Bad reviews came from students who obviously fail at life. very simple prof.. Gives fill in the blank guided notes straight from book. Extra credit tests and reviews on each chapter and before each exam. You dont even have to read if you just go to her class. Really accommodating, clear teaching. Courtney was outstanding!

Gave low grades on papers, but mid year exams impartially simple. NOT an simple A. However, she was willing to help you with papers if you went to see her.
