8 Best Jobs On Campus

By Jessi Stickel on June 30, 2016

Many college students try to get jobs while they are attending college, in order to help with college expenses, to earn extra spending money, and/or to gain work experience.

Getting a job on campus is something students should look into since many on-campus employers will have a flexible schedule to allow students to make school their first priority. On-campus jobs are also super convenient, as they typically require no driving for students residing on campus.

Here are eight of the best jobs to have on campus, for those students looking for work.

As a bookstore clerk, you have a somewhat low stress job and maybe even have fun doing it. The perk for this particular job is that you will most likely get a discount on all the awesome university apparel.

Although this can be a stressful job at times, you will hardly ever be bored and may get free coffee every day. Waiting on customers can be fun, also … and the best part is that you’ll smell like fresh-ground coffee all the time!

Knowing your way around the library could work toward your advantage in this case. If you don’t know your way around the library, this is the perfect opportunity that will help you in your courses and research projects. It is also a peaceful job if you are not into the hustle and bustle type of work.

4. Food court/restaurant server

Having pride and promoting your school while showing potential students around campus can be really fun. Tour guides normally have very flexible hours as well; this way if you have extra free time you can pick up a tour, or if something comes up you can take care of it without a worry. This is the type of job that is different each day because you will always be giving a tour to a different group of people with different questions and backgrounds.
